December 2020 - Tours & Events
We are excited to be open for tours and events in December. We’ve got lots going on this month so please have a look at all the options available. Please note that we have adapted our vineyard & winery tours during December. These will now be offered as a vineyard & winery tour with a wine tasting and locally sourced lunch hamper. Along with these we are also hosting our fizz & chips sparkling wine tastings on Friday evenings and our Grand Christmas Tastings.

Please note that for December, as we are in a Tier 2 area, we are unable to offer our wine tastings without the lunch option. One household per booking only.
Vineyard & Winery Tour with Wine Tasting & Lunch
Join us for a vineyard & winery tour followed by a wine tasting with a locally sourced cheese & charcuterie hamper for lunch.
Your experience includes:
- A tour of the vineyard & winery, where we go into the ins and outs of winemaking and growing grapes in the UK;
- Followed by a wine tasting of 5 of our wines;
- Accompanied by a locally sourced lunch including local cheeses, charcuterie, bread, butter, chutney & nibbles;
- And a glass of wine of your choice.
When? Tuesday, Thursdays, Fridays at 12:45pm, Saturdays at 11am & 3pm
Cost: £27.50 per person
Sparkling Vineyard Tour & Wine Tasting
Join us for a sparkling vineyard & winery tour followed by a wine tasting of our sparkling wine selection with a locally sourced cheese & charcuterie hamper for lunch.
Your experience includes:
- A tour of the vineyard & winery, where we go into the ins and outs of winemaking and growing grapes in the UK;
- Followed by a wine tasting of 5 of our wines; 4 sparkling wines and 1 cellar door exclusive still
- Accompanied by a locally sourced lunch including local cheeses, charcuterie, bread, butter, chutney & nibbles;
- And a glass of wine of your choice.
When? Wednesday 30th December, 12:45pm
Cost: £32.50 per person
Friday Fizz & Chips!
Fish Friday with a difference! We’re delighted to have teamed up with Stroud’s finest, award-winning Fish & Chip stars, Simpsons, to bring you a delicious and perfect pairing. Relax with friends and enjoy eating and drinking the very best in local produce.
What’s included? A glass of Woodchester Valley’s sparkling wine paired with a portion of Simpson’s finest cod & chips. An informal tasting with a few words about our sparkling wine making and why it pairs so well with everyone’s Friday favourite.
Want a top up? Wine may be purchased by the glass at this event.
When? December 18th 2020 6:15pm
Cost: £25 per person, to include fish, chips & mushy peas, mini wine tasting & glass of fizz of your choice
Vineyard Tour & Dog Walk
The perfect Tuesday morning. Arrive at the tasting room for a cup of tea, coffee, and biscuits (both dog and human friendly!) We’ll explore our vineyards at Woodchester where we’ll talk about growing and managing vines in the UK. A flight of three wines will then be provided to takeaway with you accompanied by tasting notes for each of the wines.
When: Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 23rd December, 10:30am
Cost: £10 per person, dogs come for free
Festive Fizz!
Kick off Christmas in style! Done all your Christmas shopping? Ready to relax and start the celebrations? Join us for a special morning sparkling wine tour on Christmas Eve.
We’ll be starting off with a glass of our Cotswold Classic accompanied by mince pies before a vineyard and winery tour followed by a tasting of our sparkling wines and some other festive nibbles, in front of the fire.
When? December 24th, 2pm (11am now sold out)
Cost? £20 per person
