Virtual Tastings are back!

As we are all back in lockdown for the duration of November; by popular demand we will be introducing Series 2 of our virtual tastings with the November lockdown tasting case. Different wines, different chat, same format. We really enjoyed meeting our virtual tasters last June and hope to see lots of you back again and lots of new faces for another 3 tasting sessions.

Format: Three virtual tasting events (hosted on zoom) over three consecutive Thursday evenings in November with two wines each week and suggested food pairings to accompany them.

Join us for a fun and informative debate on these wines pairings (see line up below), compare and contrast two different wines which also have much in common and vote on your favourite of the night.

We’ve put together a special case which contains the 6 wines that we’ll be tasting over the three weeks. A mixed case with two sparkling wines, one red, two whites and one rosé. This case is available from our online shop or our Cellar Door for £95.

The virtual tastings are free for all to join, simply register your interest and we’ll send you the link to the live zoom tasting.

Dates, times and wines:

Thursday 12th November, 6:30pm: Battle of the Bacchi: Orpheus Bacchus and Bacchus 18 - What make these two 100% Bacchus wines different?

Thursday 19th November, 6;30pm: Regency Styles:  Atcombe Red and Rose -compare and contrast two delicious examples of the Regent grape.

Format of the tasting:

We’ll be using Zoom (surely need no introduction these days!) to host the tasting as a webinar. There will be a ‘panel’ with members of our team.

We’ll start with a short introduction and update from the vineyard and winery team, then we’ll take you through the two wines of the week. We’ll finish up with an Q&A session where you can ask all your questions to the panel. We’d love to hear them so please do get involved. If you’d like to submit these ahead of the session you can also do this (details will be provided to those who have registered)

How to get involved:

You’ll need to download Zoom to join us for these meetings. It’s free to download and very easy to use. Please visit zoom.us to do so. We’d recommend using a laptop/desktop or tablet to join us but a mobile app is also available.

Please register your interest using the link below, and we’ll send out an invite link to join shortly before the meeting.

We’ll also publish the meeting ID and password on our social media for people to join.

The tasting is free to join and we hope to have as many of you as possible!
