We were delighted that all three of our new 2016 vintage wines entered into competition won medals at the recent UK Wine Awards 2017. Our Pinot Noir Rosé took gold, our Bacchus silver and our 'Culver Hill' white blend bronze.

293 wines were entered into competition; 20 gold, 36 silver and 136 bronze medals were awarded. Our rosé was the only rosé to take a gold medal.

The UK Wine Awards is the national competition for wine produced from grapes grown in England and Wales, inspired by the growing popularity of English and Welsh wines. Designed to showcase the distinctive styles of sparkling and still wines produced in the UK, the Awards are run by the United Kingdom wine industry in association with Hotel du Vin, Country Life and Waitrose. The wines were judged to international standards by twelve wine experts and chaired by Susie Barrie MW and Oz Clarke.

This is the first time we've entered any of our wines into competition, so we're delighted with three awards from three entries. A prize giving lunch hosted by Oz Clarke and Susie Barrie for all gold medal winners was held at Hotel Du Vin Wimbledon last month and Fiona Shiner (vineyard owner) along with Jeremy Mount (winemaker) were in attendance. Naturally, all the wines served were the gold medal winners!
