Made from our very best parcels of Bacchus grapes, a unique expression of Bacchus from some of our oldest vines. The Orpheus is a wine of great finesse, a limited range only made in selected years. The 2022 vintage Orpheus Bacchus is rich and complex reflecting the ripe and intensly flavoured fruit from the 2022 harvest. Aromatic with gooseberry and elderflower on the nose and hints of tropical fruits, on the palate it builds from rich, creamy lemon to subtle tropical fruits. It has great flavour length and structure, lingering long on the finish which is dry and well rounded.

Wine Making

Variety: 100% Bacchus

Location: Amberley & Woodchester

Winemaking: Combination of whole bunch pressed and crushed & de-stemmed, in a hyper reductive environment. Portion (16%) aged for 3 months in 3 fill Oak barrels.

Fermentation: 12 - 14°C for two weeks

Alcohol: 12%

Residual sugar: 2.5 g/l

Orders received before 10am are dispatched on a next day delivery service, but please allow 2-3 working days, but can be up to five working days in busy periods.

Please provide an email address and a mobile phone number for order tracking and delivery puproses. For deliveries sent by our courier (ParcelForce), an email and text message will be sent to you to let you know when your delivery will arrive. If a landline number is provided, this will not be used – you will just receive an email notification instead. For local deliveries, we will use your number only to call you if lost.

LOCAL DELIVERY: If the delivery address is within GL5, GL6, GL8, GL10 or GL11 then delivery is free for 6+ bottles. This will automatically apply at the check-out. For other orders, a charge of £9.99 will apply.

MAINLAND UK: Delivery is free for all orders over £150 to Mainland UK. For orders under this a charge of £9.99 will apply.

Additional charges will apply for orders to Northern Ireland, the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man and the Scottish Islands, please contact us for details. Unfortunately we currently cannot ship overseas.

Bright, bold aromas of candied orange peel, roasted peaches and hints of ripe apricot. Subtle notes of vanilla pod and cinnamon, from the fermentation and ageing in barrel. Surprisingly rich, yet bone dry on the palate with notes of spice and grilled orchard fruits.
