An exciting new product for Woodchester Valley, our first release Verjuice was made from our 2024 Green Harvest. This is the early harvest of unripe grapes to help the remaining bunches ripen.

A non-alcoholic product, Verjuice has been used as a flavour enhancer in sauces and dishes as far back as ancient Roman times. It is experiencing a revival in the culinary world and is ideal to replace wine or lemon juice in cooking. Verjuice is also a great ingredient for cocktails & mocktails!

Made from our very best parcels of Bacchus grapes, Orpheus Bacchus is a unique expression of Bacchus from some of our oldest vines. This is a wine with great finesse, a limited range only made in selected years. The 2023 vintage is a well structured, elegant, dry white wine – it’s very delightfully well-balanced.

The first release of our Trigonia Series, the 2016 Blanc de Blancs. This wine was bottled in early summer 2017 and has now spent six years on the lees, quietly evolving and developing those enhanced autolytic aromas and flavours. Disgorged in May 2023, the nose is still fresh and lively, with inviting biscuit and pastry aromas reminiscent of a lemon tart.

Is there a sparkling option? 
We’ve chosen to make this the Woodchester Valley glass because it’s perfect for both sparkling and still wines alike, giving you a multi-functional glass to use when you’re enjoying your wine with friends. 

Shouldn’t we be drinking sparkling wine from a flute? 
While a flute is a more common glass to enjoy sparkling wine in, it’s designed for toasting rather than drinking. The flute’s slim design means a bottle can be shared among many with an easy-to-measure pour, and it lends itself well to seeing visible bubbles in the glass. But a flute doesn’t provide a perfect expression of aromas because of its thin opening. 

Of the glass we’ve chosen, Maximilian Riedel said: “Our Champagne Wine Glass allows the range of aromas of champagne to unfold in a way which is not possible with a narrow flute.”
